David Asked the Lord

For David to move back at this time, seemed both logical and a slam dunk in terms of God's plan.

David Asked the Lord.

2Sam 2:1

Saul was dead. David, who had been pursued for such a long time, seem to think now was a good time to move back to Judah, because, he asked.

God had anointed him king, and the throne was open. For David to move back at this time, seemed both logical and a slam dunk in terms of God's plan.

But still, David asked. But if that were not enough, David asked "where?".

Now me, little ole me, I'm finding a spot by the stream and kicking back for a few years.

I have been living on the run and in caves, God has already made me king and Saul is out of the way. It makes sense, it adds up. But David asks, and that is probably a reason God described David as a man after God's heart.

I do not ask enough; do you? God gave me us a brain (so I'm told) so go use it. But when we don't ask, we still make decisions based on _us_ and not God; and, let's face it, we blow it more often.

David asked, and I don't. Lord, help me to stop and ask.
